This is a better release date than the crowded summer in my opinion. Plus we'll get to see Amanda in the summer and the fall.

PG-13 for "Sydney White"

Orlando Sentinal is reporting that Sydney White has earned a PG-13 rating from the MPAA for some language, sexual humor and partying.

The article also says it could be positioned for a winter/spring release but Universal has no word yet, while Morgan Creek's website says August.

From what Amanda says, Sydney White sounds funny and like it could be a hit. Nikki's bit is quite sweet also.

Amanda talked about Sydney White (now apparently titled Sydney White and the Seven Dorks and due out next year, instead of August) on the red carpet on the MTV Movie Awards. red carpet.

It’s based on ‘Snow White’ and it’s called ‘Sydney White and the Seven Dorks. It’s about a bunch of dorky guys in college, and I'm sort of Snow White them up. I kind of clean them up, and make them a little less dorky.”

We have all of the dorks you could imagine. And the director, Joe Nussbaum, is a hilarious guy. He was like ‘I know dorks, I was one, I am one, I grew up with them, and I just want to make these guys as dorky as possible’. They are all very funny actors, who do a really good job. We just wrapped that.

Fall release for "Sydney White"?

Variety.com posted an article containing a blurb that Sydney White could have an earlier than expected 2008 release date.

Chad wrote and Dara co-produced "Sydney White," starring Amanda Bynes and slated for a release this year from Morgan Creek via Universal.

Since summers are always crowded, my guess is that it will be released sometime early this fall.
